Week 1 of Digital Storytelling

Week 1 of Digital Storytelling

Well I finished my first week of digital storytelling, and I am really enjoying it! At the beginning of the week, I remember feeling very overwhelmed, and did not think that I would be able to do many of the things required for each of the assignments. But I quickly learned that this was not true, and that a lot of the work I did was easier than I though it would be.

At the beginning of the week, I had a much smaller understanding of what digital storytelling is, but as seen in my Reflection on Digital Storytelling, I have learned a lot in just the first week of this course!

Throughout this week, I did a lot of photography work. This was a bit difficult at first, but after reading through some of the tips on photography, I was able to branch out and get more creative in the way that I was interacting with what I was taking photos of. Here is my post about Becoming a Better Photographer.

I also completed a Photo Safari this week, and I had a lot of fun while doing it! You can read more about it in my Reflection on Photo Safari post.

I learned a lot from the visual assignments and daily creates that I did this week, not only about photography itself, but also editing the photos that I took. Here are links to all of my daily creates and assignments that I completed this week.

Visual Assignments:

Honest Game Cover

That’s Not What I Expected!

What’s a Spubble?

Recreate a Famous Movie Scene

Daily Creates:

June 24th

June 26th

June 27th

I am very proud of what I have learned and accomplished so far, and I so excited to see what I will learn in the weeks to come!
